Hunting and fishing has been an active part of the Burlison family. Eric recalls fishing with his great-grandfather Elvie Burlison, grandfather Maurice Burlison, father Danny Burlison, and brother Nick in the local ponds and rivers. Elvie Burlison used to chew tobacco and attributed his fishing success to spitting on the bait.

Eric learned to hunt deer with his cousins Shawn, Keith, and Jeff Essick. Hunting is one of Eric’s favorite activities despite the known fact that he is notoriously unsuccessful.

Needless to say that Eric is passionate about the Ozarks, its past, and its future. Who better to serve us in Jefferson City.
